To champion this evolving landscape, the Maine Technology Institute launched Pathways, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support and elevate diverse startup leaders across the state.

Strega Studios partnered with the MTI team to produce a flagship video series showcasing nine innovative Maine-based startups whose founders challenge traditional perceptions of business leadership.

Capturing the spirit of nine distinct ventures requires balancing high-level economic impact with intimate personal storytelling. From aquaculture and vehicle electrification to cutting-edge medical devices, MTI needed a cohesive narrative framework that highlighted the technical ambition of these companies while celebrating the human stories behind them.

We took a documentary-style approach across all nine profiles, capturing candid founder insights, real-world operations, and the local communities driving their growth. By weaving together stories of resilience, technical ingenuity, and non-traditional leadership, we brought MTI’s vision for an inclusive innovation ecosystem to life.

The resulting video series anchors the Pathways program across digital channels and statewide events, inspiring the next generation of Maine entrepreneurs and proving that leadership comes in many forms.
